With an area of 225ha. the estates of La Boella, are located in Tarragona,
on the Mediterranean, where the ancient roman civilization exploited the land and since then the traditional cultivation of olives has maintained. In these estates are cultivated three varieties of olives: Arbequina, Korineiki and Arbosana.
The plantation intensive system allows mechanization in harvest. This is very important to get a top quality oil because the time between harvesting and crushing the fruit is minimized (less than one hour).
Extraction of the olive oil through mechanical processes (crushing, mixing and separation). When the olives are cleaned of impurities proceeds to the grinding and you get a smooth paste. This paste is incorporated into a blender where it is maintained at a temperature below 27 ° C, in order to retain all its aromas. With subsequent centrifugation flower oil is separated from the paste.
